Abstract

This article examines the transformative impact of cloud computing technologies on the retail industry, analyzing key operational, strategic, and customer-centric benefits. Through a comprehensive article review of current implementations and industry data, the article investigates how cloud solutions enhance customer experience through real-time analytics and personalization while simultaneously optimizing operational efficiency through scalable infrastructure and cost-effective resource allocation. The article employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative analysis of performance metrics from 150 retail organizations with qualitative assessments of implementation strategies and challenges. Findings indicate that retailers adopting cloud technologies demonstrate a 35% improvement in supply chain efficiency, a 42% reduction in IT infrastructure costs, and a 28% increase in customer satisfaction scores. However, the article also reveals significant challenges in data security, system integration, and organizational change management. The article proposes a strategic framework for cloud adoption in retail, emphasizing the importance of phased implementation and robust security protocols. This article contributes to the growing body of literature on digital transformation in retail and provides practical insights for retailers considering or currently implementing cloud solutions.
